This is primarily for those following up from the Maui Agriculture Design Conference, but might also be useful for others, who, BTW are invited to participate in all the Ag conference related groups.

We have a lot going on and have created some structure so that we can 1) develop our ideas over time, 2) not lose it and be able to access our ideas in the future, 3) provide a way for new arrivals to the Maui Food Web to get up to speed in a reasonable time.
I am hearing some reports about people from the Ag Design Conference having a hard time finding stuff. While not all of our notes from the conference have been posted yet, there is much already here although some of it has been posted in odd places. When in doubt go to the Maui Agriculture Design Conference group to read and post. To get to that click on either Go and then go to Groups, and then to the Ag Design Conference group. Or click the Ag Conference tab, groups, and then Ag Design Conference group.
It is important to know the difference between a wall post and a discussion post. The wall posts are like a log, the most recent posts are what you see and older posts become out of sight, although you can page back to see older posts. This is also true for this blog post–you will only see it for a day or two, which is why I will also post it in the MFW Discussion Forum. Discussion posts stay in one place. The message here is to put short announcements and comments that will be easily seen on walls (the MFW along with each group have their own walls) and material where you hope to develop over time in the discussion forums (the MFW and each group has its own forum).
To complicate things even more, each member has his/her own blog which will only be seen by your “friends” or people clicking on your photo or name to get more info. So the overall message is be aware of where you are and think about where you are posting.
If there is a separate group that is more relevant to your topic you can go there, but put a note in the Ag Design Conference to let people know. If you join a group, you will be notified if people post to its wall, but not to discussions unless you choose to “follow” the discussion.
I made a short video to provide an orientation for those following up from the Agriculture Design Conference here at the Maui Food Web: http://coolprojectsmaui.com/MFW_Video/MFW_Video.html
